I am knee deep in family tree research on the following surnames:
VAHARY, KOVECSI, ZIZDA, KISLAN, STANFORD, ZACHER which are on my husband's side of the family.
Also doing DAWSON, DUNCAN, CHAPMAN, MCELROY, REEVES, CATT, HANEY, HAYS, RADER, PARKER, ELKINS, HALLAM, ALLERTON, WILSON which are all on my father's side of the family.
Doing research on my Mother's side which are: AUGHENBAUGH, ACHENBACH, MOHR, BRENNEMAN, DAY, HARTMAN, DELLINGER, SPANGLER, KRAFT, KROFT, BOLLINGER, BRUA or BRUAW, STAIR or STOHR, HERR and others all mostly German origin in Pennsylvania.

    This is Anna Mehok with Joseph Vahary Sr. on wedding day. Photo would of been taken around the 1920-30's. Anna and Joseph Vahary lived in Gary, Indiana. Anna came over from Czechoslovakia and Joseph is the son of John Vahary who came over from Austria.

    This is a photo of the heads of Pecos First National Bank back in the 1910-20's. All the way on the right side sitting and reading the newspaper is John Thomas McElroy. He was the president of the bank till he died. He was also the largest share holder of the bank too. John was the son of Francis McElroy and Martha Ann Hallam McElroy. Born in 1848 in Sabina, Ohio.

    This is a photo taken in the 1880's or earlier of Jasper Dawson and his wife Sarah Jane McElroy. Sarah is the daughter of Francis McElroy and Martha Ann Hallam McElroy. Jasper served in the Civil War in the 2nd Iowa Cavalary. Sarah shook hands with Abe Lincoln when he was in Davenport, Iowa for the Lincoln/Douglas Debates.Jasper and Sarah are my Great Great Grandparents.

    Here is a newspaper clip of Sarah when she took her historic trip across the Ole Miss river by Ferry boat at age 90 as she did back when her family came from Ohio to Iowa through Davenport Iowa.

    This is a poor copy of a B&W photo found of Cynthia Parker. She was one of Mamie Parker's ancestors from the Parker Clan of Texas. Mamie Parker was the wife of John Thomas McElroy the Millionaire of Texas in the late 1800's to 1930s. Cynthia Parker was kidnapped and raised as a Comanche Indian.

    This is a poor copy of a B&W photo I found of Quanah Parker who was one of Cynthia Parker's sons born to Peta Nacona who was a great Comanche Chief in the Texas are. Quanah Parker became the last great Chief of the Comanche Indianas. He is buried with his mother and before he passed on he dedicated a monument to his mother Cynthia. Cynthia is one of Mamie Parker's ancestors. Mamie Parker was married to John Thomas McElroy the Millioniare, lived in Texas late 1800's through 1930's. John and Mamie Parker McElroy were my Great Great Uncle and Aunt.

The stone is located at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton, Iowa.

    This is the wedding photo of my Husband's Grandparents Moses Kovecsi and Louise Zizda. The photo was taken early in the 1900's and had survived a fire. That is why the photo is not that great any more but tried to save as much as I could. Moses Kovecsi and Louise Zizda both came over to the U.S. from Hungary around the turn of the 1900s. Moses and Louise are the parents of Theresa Kovecsi Vahary.

    This is my niece from my sister Vicki. Brittany passed away from a rare form of cancer she was born with. She was taken just after her third birthday. She was a strong child and very well loved. She is the bravest child I have ever met and she will not be forgotten.

    This is my grandmother Beulah Aughenbaugh Mohr with her daughter (my Mom of course) named Jane Delilah Mohr Dawson. Photo was taken within that last 10 years. Beulah recently passed away about a year ago.
