| The surnames I am researching are VAN STRANDER, KALLEHER, GALLAGHER, CORRIGAN, MC CANN, NELBACH, CONNOLLY, COOLEY and HAYES. I am just getting started with this facinating pasttime. My only living natural grandparent is Mabel Vincentine Gallagher VAN STRANDER, a decendant of Charles GALLAGHER, born in Wisconsin in 1858, and Anna CORRIGAN, born in Ireland about 1870. Grandma's memory is the most useful and inspiring tool for my research, so I am concentrating most heavily on those branches of our family tree. The NELBACHS, CONNOLLYS, COOLEYS AND HAYESES were all residing in Upstate New York in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I am as willing to share my limited information as I am to receive new knowledge. |
