Digging up my roots

I just started seriously digging in April of this year. I have already put over 800 family members in my FTM files!! It is amazing what you find when you tromp in cemetaries and chase "ghosts" by email. I am thankful for all the people who answer my numerous queries, even if they didn't know my family members, and am always glad to lend a hand in their search or an idea of where else they can look, if I know! Here's to finding all my "missing" relatives, proving or disproving all the old family stories, and going over all the brick walls I have had for over 20 years!! My LATEST ADVENTURE!! Sorting out all the Piatts, Peyatts, Pyatts, that are in my tree. I just transferred lots more of them to my files and am excited to meet others researching any of my surnames. Anyway, check out my Piatt(?SP) info and see if you have any of mine, or I have some of yours, whichever way you want to look at it.....Please feel free to contact me with info, or correction to anything you think is wrong in the data. As I am new at this, there may be mistakes, just as we all make some.
Juat "found" another cousin today, welcome Martha Kaufmann!! We are both 7th great granddaughters to the same Peters from Germany!!! Yea for PETERS!!! We found out by email thatwe share relatives, and it took a couple emails to figure it all out. It seems her gggrandfather is a direct line to the oldest person in my family tree, Johannes Pater, 1663, Germany!!
