I am researching the family members of both my mother and father. The family information I'm looking for are for the following:
MAEDA family from Kumamoto, Japan; MASAMUNE family from Hiroshima, Japan; ELENEKI family from Hawaii; CHING family from China (Haka).
Sadaaki Maeda first arrives to Hawaii before 1907 with his wife Ichie (Sadaka Mitui) and first appears in the 1930 census. They had three sons: Henry Akira, Iwao, Calvin Akiyo and four daughters: Teruko, Mary Matsuyo, Yuriko, and Sally Ayame. The three middle children were sent back to live in Japan with Sadaaki's parents sometime before 1920. Iwao was later adopted by Sadaaki's brother. I'm looking for these three sibblings that were sent back to Japan and what became of them.
Zenshiro Masamune immigrated with his parents to Hawaii around 1907. He married Fusayo Seno and had their first son, Kazuo in 1912. They had four other children, two more boys: Richard Nadami and Sueto and two daughters: Faith Michie and Caroline Hanai. I'm looking for any information on Zenshiro and Fusayo - if they had any sibblings and who were their parents.
William Puhipa'u Eleneka (Eleneki)belived to have lived in South Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. He married Kalulo nui and had two children that are known: William Puhipa'u Eleneka and Juliette Waipuilani Puhipa'u Naukana Eleneka. William's son also named William married Susan Kukana Kauanoe and they had their first child in 1892. I'm looking for any information to fill in the gaps.
Sen Den Fat Ching married his wife Fong Shee and had eight children, five boys: Charles Kim Fook born 1883 in Hawaii, Kim Tai, another son, and twin boys, three girls: Kim Kyun, Kui Kyau, and Fook Kyau. Charles Kim Fook Ching married Marion Mew Yin Chong. They first appear in the US Census of 1920 with their five children. Looking for information as to where they came from in China and who the unnamed sons were.
Any information on any of these families would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have gathered.
