I am researching the VanDePol-VanDerPol family from Holland. Hendrickus VanDePol and his brother Jacob landed at Hoboken,New Jersey, approx 1860-1870. Hendrickus married Carrie (Geertje) VanDerPol on Nov,17.1876, we believe around Pella or Sulley Iowa. They had a homestead near Fremont Ia, probably Mahaska Co. The couple had 13 children- and lived in Pella, Marion Co. Iowa around 1880. Hendrickus believed to be a cook. Have lots of names so far- Bowman,Koder,Byers,Peck,Debruyn,Chapman,Bristow,Stump,Darst,Page,Epperson,Evans,Allsup,Dann.
