I am currently researching the ancestors of my Dad (VANDER MEIDEN) and Mom (KATT). Their ancestors imigrated from the Netherlands (Groningen area) during the 1880's. They settled in Ottawa County Michigan in the towns of Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg, which are situated in western Michigan's lower pennisula, on the coast of Lake Michigan.
