Arsula Sephrona Guisinger (daughter of George W. Guisinger and Amelia Sheets)³⁵ was born 19 Jan 1855 in Illinois, and died 06 Oct 1951 in Climax, Greenwood Co., KS. She married William Hicklen Welch on 03 Oct 1871, son of Paul Kester Welch and Elizabeth Black.

Arsula Safrana Welch
Arsula Safrana Guisinger was born January 19, 1855 and departed this life October 6, 1951 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva Neal in Climax, Kansas. She had reached the age of 96 years, 8 months, and 17 days.
She was married to William Hicklin Welch on October 3, 1871. To this union were born 12 children, two of whom died in infancy, the rest grew to maturity.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, John Kester Welch and Ralph C. Welch.
Those left to mourn her passing are her four daughter, Mrs. Alice Cross, Mrs. Eva Neal, Mrs. Zona Buck of Climax and Mrs. Jennie Smith of Parsons, Kansas; four sons, Orville Welch of Klammath Falls, Oregon; Arch Welch of Wellington, Kansas; Frank Welch of Fall River, Kansas and Harold Welch of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; 33 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Grandma Welch came to Kansas with her husband in a covered wagon in 1885 and settled on a farm 6 miles east of Climax. She had spent most of her life in and around climax.
She was converted at the age of 14; she lived a sincere Christian life and lived to see all of her children saved. Her Bible had been a dear companion to her down through the years and when she could no longer read, she would repeat portions of scripture she had committed to memory in her younger days.
She was a loving mother always thoughtful of her children.
She united with the Church of the Nazarene in Eureka years ago of which she was a member at the time of her death.
Funeral service was conducted from the Baird Funeral Home in Eureka Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. W. B. McCollom, pastor of the Nazarene church, officiating.
Internment was made in Greenwood cemetery.
