| The Bouma family from Hennaarderdeel, Friesland lived in Wommels, Itens, Oosterend from early 1700's to 1920's. I have over 600 names collected deriving from descendants of Jouw Jacobs of Sneek who married a Oosterend girl, Trijntje Dirks in 1707. Their son, Dirk Jouws married 1733 to Agnietje Jans in Oosterend. Of the many children born, I have followed to some extent the descendants of three of them, Jan Dirks, Jacob Dirks, Jouws Dirks who all take on the last name "Bouma".The Talsma family or Tolsma as some officials registered the name, begins with Fedde Hartman Talsma who married Akke Uilkes about 1793, moving to Hennaarderdeel to live in Welsrijp. I found on FTM the ancestors of Fedde and they originated from Ijlst, Friesland. Fedde is related to Jetze, Durk, Dooye, and Ulbe who all moved from the town of Ijlst and also had a father called Hartman. I have followed the families that lived in the area of Welsrijp until 1910.
