| I am searching the Webb and Vanderburg family history. On the Webb side of my family, the history resides in the Southern Tier of New York area, including, Binghamton, Vestal, Windsor, and Ouaquaga. I have enlistment papers of my Great, Great, Grandfather when he enlisted in the 89th Regiment, New York Volunteers in 1861, that might help in pin pointing a time frame of other family members. My Great, Great, Great, Grandfather was born in 1799 and he had 11 children, of which 3 died as children, and 1 died at the Battle of Fredricksburg in the Civil War, he was in the 121st NY Volunteers. I have very little records of the other 7. The Vanderburg side of the family can be traced back to the Scranton / Carbondale area of Penn., specifically Peckville. Beyond that I have very little knowledge of the Vanderburg history. If anybody can help in further developing these family lines, it would be greatly apreciated. I will also share what information I have available to me. Send me an E-mail, maybe we're long lost cousins. Thanks for any help that you can provide. |
