I am researching the Family van der Merwede which originated as far as I can tell with Daniel 1 van der Merwede in The Netherlands. Geertrudia K. Wouters, wife of Lord Johan Fredrik baron van der Merwede, emigrated to America with their children May 11,1848 and settled in the Brooklyn, NY area.
