Retired from Frost Bank after 16 years on a disability caused from Multiple Sclerosis. Colon cancer surgery in 1996.
Joanne died from complications of Multiple Sclerosis on 3 May 2002. She lived a good Christian life and was a much loved lady by all whom she met. She loved to travel and she loved sewing and crafts as well as art. She painted several pictures while in Japan with her military husband.
