The first Vanzandt I have found came over from Holland in 1625. and settled in old New York. His name was Christeffle Vanzandt, I think he came over with his son, Garrett Stoffelse Vanzandt, in 1651. Settled in Old New York,Long Isl. Co. N.Y. (New Amesterdam) I have followed his decendents through to myself. I would like to trace his ancestors into Holland. Im just starting this family tree business and am really hooked. |
