| Welcome to the family tree of the family VAN SPELDE. We just found out that our roots started in Germany, in the town Spellen (Cleefsland). Hendrik Hendrikszoon Wisselman was born there in 1690 and left his hometown to marry Cornelia Abrahamse de Waal in Maartensdijk (Province of Utrecht in the Netherlands). The surname of their children was Van Spellen. One of their great-grandchildren was Johannis (born in 1788) whose surname changed in Van Spelde. Unfortunately I am not able to update this site on a regular basis but maybe this will change in the near future. |
