Notes for Ella Cora Brumm: Ella Hetzel Ella Hetzel, 82, Birnamwood died Tuesday at her home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was born a daughter of the late Melvin and Ella (Heinrich) Brumm on April 7, 1918 in Birnamwood. She married Myles Hetzel on February 5, 1938 in Birnamwood. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1985. Mrs. Hetzel graduated from Birnamwood High School and then was employed as a nursing assistant at Cady Memorial Home in Birnamwood. She volunteered for 14 years as afoster grandparent at Birnamwood Elementary School. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Birnamwood and its Ladies Aid organization. Mrs. Hetzelenjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and knitting. Survivors include six sons, Frederick "Fritz" (special friend, Lola Eckardt) Hetzel of Birnamwood, John (fiancee, Carol Champeau) Hetzel of Birnamwood, Ron Hetzel and Norbert (Susan) Hetzel all of Birnamwood, Melvin "Bucky" (Jayne) Hetzel of Hatley, James Hetzel ofGaithersburg, Md.; three daughters, Judith (Jerome) Kautza of Wausau, Mary Hetzel of Birnamwood and Linda (Thomas) Muraski of Elton; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Pasterski of Oak Creak; and a brother, John )Florence) Brumm of Milwaukee. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hetzel was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn; a grandson, David; and a sister, June. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. Allen Geil will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services. Schmidt-Shulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood is serving the family.
