The 'van der Kaa' Family from Raamsdonk Noord BrabantUpdated September 5, 2000 |
|
| My family originates from a small place in Noord Brabant, called Raamsdonk. I managed to get back to about 1610 and presently I am trying to fill in the various branches of the family tree. I contact people in Brabant with the name 'van der Kaa' and after obtaining some initial information I go to the archives and check to see if they belong to the same family. I works well, but the distance New Zealand - Netherlands is a bit of an obstacle. At the same time I research my mother's family which carries the proud name of Buddemeijer. They come from Osnabruck in Westfalen, Germany. I've tried very hard to see if anyone in Germany has already worked on the Buddemeijer family, but so far I have had no answer. |
