William Van Hoose was born in Tishimingo, Co. Mississippi. After his death his wife, Sarah, married a T.S. Barker. Mr. Barker was killed in an hunting accident. Sarah and children moved to Bridgeport, Wise Co. Texas. The Van Hoose decendants now have a reunion there every year on the 3rd Saturday of July. The 99 reunion will be at the Elementary School Cafeteria.We have been able to connect our family to the other Van Hoose's in Kentucky and back to Husum in northern Germany. I still have not been able to find any death or cementary records to indicate where he might have died. I have not been able to find any records of his birthplace either. I was able to find one record where he went to school 1 year in Cornith, MS. I also found land records where he purchased some land in the south east part of Alcorn, Co., MS. If anyone can help me with any of this information I would greatly appreciate it. |
