| I am researching the descendants of Evert Van't'hoff who arrived in Australia on the "John Knox" from Liverpool, England in November 1854. He married Mary Jane Hanna (from Ireland) in 1863 and they had eight children - William, Isaac, Evert, Mary Jane(Larter), Alice (Bockholt), Agatha (Reddie), James and George. William never married and James and George died young. The others all married and their descendants are now spread out throughout Australia. I am a direct descendant of Isaac (Great grand-daughter). I am endeavouring to enter all the information that I can gather on the descendants and hope to publish a book by 2004 (150 Years of Vanthoffs in Australia). I still need a great deal of information, photos and stories and will try to write to all I can. If anyone can help please contact me by e-mail, fax or mail. Thank You. |
