| I am just beginning to do family tree research on the following family names: White - My father's family who settled in Wicklow, Carleton County, New Brunswick, Canada (adjacent to Maine). A branch of our family (Alexander, my great grandfather, who had no other children that we know of, and Andrew, his brother) went west in the 1870's to Centerville, a tiny town near Fresno, California. Hunting - My mother's family, who were United Empire Loyalists and settled in the Eastern Townships (North Hatley, Huntingville, Lennoxville) of Quebec, Canada sometime after the Revolutionary War. LeBaron - My mother's family, who moved into the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada and have roots in Plymouth, Massachusetts from the Francis LeBaron who died in 1697 and is buried in the Old Cemetery at Plymouth, MA. Van Dover - My husband's Dad's family. Apparently there were three Van Dover brothers who arrived in America sometime in the 1800's and then separated, migrating to different parts of the country. We know little about their origins and have few links to others with the Van Dover name. Buntrock - My husband's Mother's family (Albert). They were originally from the Black Forest area of Germany and settled in South Dakota. |
