born October 16, 1878 in souterhn Minnesota. His parents came from Sorel and Quebec, Canada.

Bernard Eugene
born March 4, 1908 on a farm East of Kent, Minnesota. His parents were Eugene Byron Van Tassel and Alice Harvey.
