I am searching for information on my mothers family with the surnames of JONES, BARTLETT, and AMES, from Maine and Massachusetts. I would like to find out the name of Ezekiel and Elizabeth (Conant) Jones parents, when this family came to America, etc. He was born in 1730 and lived in Durham, Me. for over 20 years. They had six sons; Phineas, Josiah, Belcher, Joshua, Issac and Elijah. The sons lived in Durham, Lisbon/Webster, and Lewiston, Me. Phineas was born about 1760 in Scarboro, Me. He was married to Ruth Ames, daughter of James Ames born in Ma. He had a son Phineas Jr. who married Sarah Bartlette. She was from Portland. I would like to find out about her family. Also DOWD, BOTHWELL, MONTGOMERY, GRAHAM, ARMSTRONG and DUNCAN All from Durham, Quebec, Canada. MONTGOMERY'S in New York and Eaton Rapids, Michigan. I would like to find out information on the Dowds. James Dowd, the son of Benjamin, married Margaret Armstrong, the daughter of George. Any information on these families would be greatly appreciated. I have quite a bit of information on the BOTHWELLS and MONTGOMERYS. I would be glad to share what I have. Looking forward to hearing from you. |
