His father was Joseph Lockwood, who at age 38, in November 1797, was registered as an American Seaman in Dighton, MA. According to family history Joseph Lockwood was the Captian of 2 ships, The Anne and Hope, sailing out of Providence, RI for the Brown Company.Also seeking information on Simon Butler, and his daughter, Mariah, who lived in Onondaga County, NY in 1827 and later lived in Hancock County, OH about 1850.
