I am researching the following surnames: VANCE, ADAMS, FERRIS, BLANCHARD, DUNTON, TERPENING, PAUL, DONBROCK, DOWNS. The above surnames all have ended up via different routes and in different times to the Branch County and Hillsdale County areas of Michigan. Both counties are in the extreme Southern Michigan area and border on the Indiana and Ohio state lines. These family trees are all in my homepages and show my direct lineage. I of course am most interested in the VANCE surname and have been "stuck" for the past couple of years.
