Researching the names Sube, Malchow, and Melchoir. Margaretha Sube and her daughter Barbara Sube, along with Barbara's two sons, Joseph Paul & John Steven came to Oconto County, Wisconsin in the mid-1800's. Barbara married Frank Malchow in 1885 and adopted Barbara's two sons. Joseph Paul changed the surname to "Melchoir", while John Steven kept the name Malchow.
