| We are building the family trees for the VASSO and STOCKER families. Although we have been concentrating on the Vasso and Stocker main branches of the tree, we will also be researching the AVOGADRI (Italy), BAUER (Germany), SULLAS (Greece), and WETTLING (Germany) names. The origins of the Vasso family are in Italy. Amerigo Vasso emigrated to the United States prior to WWI from the Calabria region of Italy. He settled in Brooklyn, New York. The Avogadri family, based in northern Italy, ties in to the Vasso tree. The Sullas family, from Greece, settling in the Boston, MA area also ties into this family. The Stocker family origins are in Germany. The Stocker family has been concentrated in the Rhein-Neckar region of Germany. A great deal of the work for the Stocker family was done by Gisela Stocker, so far that tree has gone back to 1600. The Bauer and Wettling families also tie into the Stocker tree and these families have also concentrated in the Rhein-Neckar region. What is extremely exciting is that we also have a lot of photographs to attach to the tree, many are 125 years old. |
