Hello, and welcome to my family homepage!!!

I am David Vaseau. I live in Dearborn, Michigan (near
Detroit) and have an avid interest in my family genealogy. It
started a few years ago while a novice at searching the Web. I
stumbled on a few genealogical leads, and have been glued ever
since! After just a few e-mails and a few phone calls, I started
what seems to be a lifelong quest.

Obviously, I am interested in information regarding my family
name, and also that of Zavitz, Savitz, Zewitz, Goodfallow,
Buccholz, and DeCair. I would very much like to correspond
with anyone who might have any information about any of these
names, and also to provide any further information to anyone who might like to discuss what information they find here in my
homepage.

I have tracked my lineage the farthest throught the Zavitz line. It has taken me back as far as the very early 1700's when my
earliest ancestor George Zewitz (aka Zavitz, Savitz, etc) came to
Pennsylvania from Strasbourg, France. Most of the information
in the family tree you will find here is from that line. I am always adding to it with small bits of information as I find them or have the time to import the data.

I would like to know more about the Goodfallow line. My great
grandfather, George Washington Goodfallow, was a miller in
Aylmer, Ontario in the mid 1800's and married Mary Louisa
Zavitz. I have not been able to link him with any earlier
generation of Goodfallows, but that might be because many early
documents might list the name as GoodfEllow instead.

The Vaseau line has not been very productive for me either. My
grandfather was Deasty Vaseau and had brothers John, William,
and Napoleon. His father was John also and married Flora
DeCair. They came from Quebec to Bay City, Michigan....that's about all I know of this line's origins.

So, here's to genealogy!! Let's give each other the help we all
need!! Please feel free to e-mail me anytime. The address is
dvaseau@comcast.net. Hope to hear from you soon!!!!!!
