They were married ten days after he arrived home from overseas at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church, by pastor Wanzer Hull Brunelle. They held a reception at the Presidential Inn (now called The Ramada Inn) in Southgate, Mi. They spent there wedding night at the airport hotel at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and honeymooned in Antigua, British West Indies. They stayed at the carribean Beach Club Resort, which name has since been changed to the Halcion Hotel.
