Warren Thayer served from Wisconsin, in Co. E. 14th Regiment. He died August 17, 1863,a few days after returning home due to disease. He is buried in the Tweedale Cemetery at the south edge of Algoma, WI. He is the father of Sarah Alvira Thayer.
