| We have started working on the 7 generations of our families and want to continue on as far back and forward as we can.John's maternal grandfather was Frank Joseph Hala, grandmother is Sylvia E. Kalina (92). Both sides of his family are said to have immigrated from Bohemia, Czechoslovakia in the late 1800's and settled in the Chelsea, Iowa area. John's Paternal great grandfather was Frank E. Vavroch, Jr. and grandmother was Anna M. Hayek.Kathy's maternal grandather was Lee Kearns, little is known of the Kearns family. Her paternal grandfather was Alfred Peter Didier, grandmother is Eva E. Roessler (93). Kathy's paternal family was said to have immigrated from France and Germany. Two brothers immigrated from France. Her great grandfather was Henry Joseph Didier (Nicholas Didier and Rosina's son) born 1868 in Russia, Ohio. We will be excited when we receive new information and can share with other family members at the reunions. |
