The Vavruska family arrived in the US from Bohemia about 1870. My grandfather's name was Michael Vavruska and he was married to Marie Stotsky. I don't know whether they married before or after they arrived in the US. They settled in New York City. They raised a family in Manhattan and then moved to Queens.
