The Lovell's of Virginia

The first Lovell came to America in 1635 and have a history of serving in all of our battles for freedom. Strong willed and honest to a fault are family traits passed down through the ages. Robert, William, James and John are names common to this family. Starting out as farmers and active in community issues many have branched outinto business of their own. Outgoing and generous and the abiliy to bounce back after set backs marks their personalities.
Our first ancestor was Robert Lovell who was married to Elinor. I have found when he came to this country but not where he was from but I believe it was England. He lived in Westmoreland County and his son's place was located between ancestors of George Washington and the Monroe's.
