I am researching The McKenzie family name. They were in the Hamilton Co., Indiana area in the 1840's. Some left and went to the Greenwood Co., Kansas area in the 1885or 1890's. There were several ministers in the group so lost track of some after Indiana. There were several John's also Barnabus McKenzie, Maxwell Gaddis McKenzie. Maxwell married 1st Delia Applegate 2nd Ada Jane Harader. I have info to share.I am against a brick wall on Maxwell's grandfather who was John McKenzie b Feb 20, 1782 VA d Aug 3 1861 Sheridan Indiana. He was married to Mary Reed April 1817. She was born April 6 1787 VA and died March 22 1856, Sheridan, Indiana. Both buried in the Spencer Cemetery, Sheridan, Indiana.
