2. SR. RUFINO² VEGA (CASIMIRO¹) was born April 04, 1886 in Santa Cruz de Aller Oviedo, Spain, and died May 10, 1981 in Canton, Ohio. He married FLORENTINA ALONSO March 12, 1908 in Clarksburg W. Va., daughter of MANUEL ALONSO and TERESA FERNANDEZ. She was born April 04, 1893 in San Miguel de Quilare en Llordal Oviedo, and died June 21, 1972 in Canton, Ohio USA.

Notes for SR. RUFINO VEGA:
Rufino came to the United States about 1902, he was 16 years old. He and his brother Jess lived in many different areas from 1902 to 1920, wherever work could be found. He married Florentina Fernandez Alonzo in 1908 when they lived in Clarksburg W. Virginia. Rufino used to tell a story saying that he married because he needed a "Good Cook." Neither he or his brother's cooking was very good and a womens touch was necessary if they were going to servive. Other places they lived were East Chicago, Illinois & Tarahought, Indiana. Rufino and Florentina were blessed with eleven children. Rufino worked for the Timken Company in Canton, Ohio and retired in 1952.

Married on March 12th 1908 in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Rufino pass away at the age of 95 in 1981.
Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Canton, Ohio
with Fr. James Korda officating.
Funeral arrrangements were with the Spiker-Foster Colonial Chapel, Canton,Oh.

He was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Canton, Ohio.

Jesus "Jess" Vega was born at 6:00PM on March 18th 1923 at
1917 Bryan Ave. S.W. Canton, Ohio.

Went by Jess or Jesse most of his life. He also used the name Jay Vega.
Described as 5'7" 134lbs fair complexion. Worked various jobs iron & Steel
and drove truck\taxi on occassion. Lived most of his life in Canton, Ohio
Stark County area. Jess had an alochol problem which he was never able to
overcome. His drunkeness kept him in poverty most of his life.
Funeral Services were conducted in the Spiker Foster Funeral Home with the
Fr. David W. Rhodes officiating.
