| Like many others, Jacob McNEMAR left West Virginia after the Civil War. He and his wife, Margaret COOL moved their family of eight to a farm in southeast Kansas. Jacob named his youngest child Albert Sydney Johnston MCNEMAR, after a Civil War general. Jacob's parents, Joseph and Ruth McNEMAR remained in Hardy County, West Virginia. Joseph was born about 1777in Virginia, but who were his parents? Could it have been Joseph and Elizabeth McNamarrow from Hardy County? |
