| I am researching the above named families, as well as those they connect with. Some of these families are quite large. Robert Green , born about 1775 in England, married first to Nancy Wood about 1790 in South Carolina. Four children: Elizabeth, Susannah, Zedekiah Samuel and John. All born in either Abbeville County, South Carolina or possibly North Carolina. Family moved to Kettle Creek, Cumberland County, Kentucky by 1805. Nancy Wood Green dies about then. Robert Green remarries about 1808 to Elizabeth Farmer, they have several children: Benjamin Franklin, Robert Robinson (my ggggrandfather), Catherine Ann, another girl (possibly named Rebecca), William Alfred, Wright Farmer, Reuben P. and Washington Y. The first five were born in Cumberland/Monroe County, Kentucky, the last three in Sangamon County, Illinois. After Robert Green's death in Sangamon County in 1826, his widow, Elizabeth moves north to the lead mining district of southwetern Wisconsin, where she marries by about 1828 to Ebenezer M. Orne. Ebenezer Orne has a son, Samuel (Lon) from a previous marriage. They have five children together: Joseph J., Jane Elizabeth, Ebenezer Hugill, Emeline, and Thomas C. Eighteen children total. The children spread out, the oldest going to Missouri and Texas, most of the rest to California, one each toFrom there to Washington and Montana, and two ending up in South Dakota. Associated surnames are Wood, Farmer, Orne, Ashmore, Lollar, Cruson, Bryan, Hugill and many others. Charles Vella and Rose Pace of Msida and Valetta, Malta. Eight children:Edward (my husband's grandfather), Toney, Nusa, Marta,John,Paula, Joseph, Chico. Edward, born 1906, was in the United States briefly and had a common-law arrangement with Mary Kudinsky. After his return to Malta, he married twice and migrated to Australia with his family. At least one of his siblings also went to Australia. Associated families are Kudinsky, Pace. MIchael Flynn, born 1822 of Glenidan, County Westmeath, Ireland and his wife, Rose Winters of the same location. Immigrated to the United States in 1873 with their five children: Joseph (my great-grandfather), Thomas, `Catherine, Michael and Mary. Settled first at Camp Grove,Illinois and then moved on to Louisa and Washington counties in Iowa. Associated names are Fagan, Tobin, Dwyer, Boyd Abraham Kudinsky and Lena Taubenkimmel (Clara Kimmel), Jewish immigrants from Russia. Arrived in New York in 1903 and took u presidence on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Four children: Betty, Mary (my husband's grandmother), Esther (Eileen), and Jacob (Jack). Allied families are Yudin/Yudine, Mineo, and Vella. The ancestors and descendants of my great-grandparents, Emil Hansen and Sophia Dorothea NIssen of Dorpum, Germany. Thanks to a distant cousin who still resides there, these lines can be trace back in some cases to the late 1600s through the church records. Patronymics used in earlier generation prevents an adequate list of allied families. Many family members immigrated to the United States around 1900, settling primarily in Iowa and Nebraska. Samuel Feese and Catherine Persilla Robenolt of Pennsylvania, my great-great-grandparents. Lived in Union County, Pennsylvania. John Walter, the Revolutionary soldier, of Pennsylvania. One of twelve children--ten sons--of Philip Antoni Walter. The Hayden and Fahy families of County Galway, Ireland. Joseph Dermot Hayden, my husband's grandfather, was married to Nancy Goldsmith. of England. Also researching the families of Andrew Schwarzenbach and Ferdinand Koch. Andrew, my gggrandfather, immigrated from Bavaria to the United States in the late 1850s, migrating from Illinois to Iowa and Nebraska. Ferdinand, my ggggrandfather, immigrated from Germany to Illinois, also in the late 1850s. His descendants moved to Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. |
