We know the Vevers Family were in Berwick in Elmet just outside Leeds, Yorkshire, England in the early 18th Century. By the 19th Century there was a strong branch hop farming at Dormington Court, Herefordshire. We believe the family originally came over in one of the Huguenot transmigrations and may have been called Evers or Vevers. By the middle of the 19th Century, and thanks to a certain Octavius Vevers, a branch of the family started in South Eastern Australia. The Tuckwell's come from South London and are my mother's family. I am particularly interested in any Vevers or Tuckwell who think they may be related and we will include them. Thank you.
