My father, Frederick Adolphus Strong, was born in Littleton, NH on March 11, 1894, into the family of Gilbert Strong and Adelina Salway. Frederick had 4-5 brothers and 1 sister, Lucy. He died of massive burns from an auto accident, October 1930, in a hospital in Ithaca, NY. i believe Gilbert emigrated from the province of Quebec, Canada. I have been trying, with little success, to locate some of the relatives on my father's side. There must be many cousins out there. Family surnames include Strong, DeLarier, Salway, Jelly.
My mother, Ellen May Backus, was born in Waitsfield, VT on April 30, 1899, the first child of Munroe James Backus and Bertha Etta Dana, both of VT. Ellen lived most of her life in central NY and died in October 1979 in Sayre, PA. Family surnames include Backus, Bailey, Moore, Mazanec, Benton, Dana, Porter, Pike.

My husband, William Robert Vibbert and I have resided in western NY since 1964 and have two sons, two daughters, five grandsons and two living grand-daughters.

My husband's parents were William Riley Vibbert and Addie Irene McDermott, both of the Cazenovia and Pompey Hill areas of NY. Family surnames include Vibbert,McDermott, Fields, Parslow.

Am also seeking data about my step-father's ancestors. He was Dannie E. Moore, born March 1, 1888 in Genoa, NY, the only child of Isaac Moore and Jennie Ellison. He lived all his life in south-central NY and died in Venice Center, NY, on June 18, 1946.
He had two sons, Leslie E. Moore, from his second marriage to Maud Ethel Ford, and Dannie Ellis Moore (my half-brother) from his marriage to Ellen (my mother).

I would appreciate any data about my family and would be happy to share what information I have.
