Grant Vicars, b. 1872 in Jackson CO, KY, d. 1954 in Jackson CO, KY. Grant is the son of John R. Vicars and Gemima Fugate. He moved with his family to Oklahoma Territory c. 1895. On 9/18/1918 he registared for WWI & gave year of birth 7 years younger than he was...pos. he wanted to enlist & feared he would be considered too old at 46 (gave age as 38y11m).
Grant m."Mammie" Hollingsworth before 1918. At least one child, Ethel was born in Minn. bef. Grant returned to OKLA & them to Jackson CO to run a Barber shop.
