Benjamin was a grantee of the Town of Norwich, CT in 1682.(5) He left a will that mentions his four sons. There is an old map of Franklin, CT which shows the residence of Benjamin. The house no longer exists.

Benjamins dwelling was nearly opposite to the entrance to the lane leading to the residence of Geo. E. Starkweather.(6)

Names & c of the posterity of Benjamin & Rachel Armstrong who came form Kent - County England. He was one jof the original proprietors fo the town of Norwich Connicticut and settled about 8 miles north of "Norwich Landing" in a place afterwards set off & named Franklin.
