in his early life he was known as William the Bastard.
on Oct 14th 1066 he won The Battle of Hastings in which Harold was Slain.
24 and 26 Great Grandfather
in 1072 he invaded Scotland and received the Homage of Malcolm Canmore.
in 1085 he prevented an invasion by Canute and
in the same year ordered a survey of England. (Domesday Book)
In 1087 while at war with Philip I of France he received an internal injury and died.
