Oregon Spectator Advertisement June 20, 1852 reads as follows:
SADDLERY! SADDLERY!!
The subscriber, at his old stand, has on hand ready made saddlery, harness and bridels of every description and variety, and is making to order the best Spanish Trees.
OREGON SADDLES,
and trimming complete; equipage either in whole or part. His saddles are made on full spanish, half spanish and every kind of American trees. Ladies saddles of extra finish, and a splended lot of double, single, and broad rein.
BRIDLES
"fully rigged;" with marginals, etc; saddle, bags, whips, holsters, extra covers for saddlers; also, harness of all kinds, single, double, heavy and light; and everything that is needed to handle horses in any manner. All of the above articles will be sold on more reasonable terms than have yet been sold for in this market.

September 6, 1850 - Oregon Census line 38 - Age 24 years, occupation Sadler, valued real estate owned 6,000, place of birth Illinois. Neighbors were: John Balow, William Anderson, John Rogers, Joseph Parrott, Neyes Smith John P. Brooks.
Albion Post owned a large home on the corner of 12th and Washington Street in Oregon City which apparently burned down according to my Grandma Helen Bell in the early 1950s.
