Fred & Susie are my maternal grandparents and they lived in Virginia Beach, VA, but were both born and reared in Tyrrell Co. NC. Fred was an avid gardener, and Susie was quite talented with hand work (tatting, crochet, etc.). She made really good cookies too! My grandfather studied in Detroit, and worked as a mechanic for Perry Buick in VA. They were super sweet people. Fred died when I was in high school, but Susie lived to see all of my children (who called her GG).
