Welcome to the George W. Baldwin Family Tree Home Page. Peggy Cochran-Voegele and I first imagined composing this tree after attending the family reunion in Pleasant Hill in 1996.
Mark researched the software and selected Family Tree Maker after a half dozen (or so) articles and a very flattering review from one computer journal. The software was purchased and served well as a paperweight for over a year. Thanks to another member of the Baldwin Clan, the software was unshelved, installed, and put to good use.
We wish to extend our deepest heartfelt appreciation to Bruce Risley. Bruce included a family tree chart in the family letter, which arrived just prior to the summer 1999 family reunion in Santa Cruz. This motivated Mark to feed the data to the software and get started.
We are over 100 names and still have not updated most of the current, living generations. Mark predicts we could easily hit 200 or 250 names with input from the grandchildren and great grandchildren of G.W. Baldwin.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU INCLUDE INFORMATION ON YOUR RELATIONSHIP IN ANY COMMUNICATION. There are several "George Washington Baldwins" that are not closely related to this family tree. If we don't know you personally, we can't be certain that your input should be included unless we understand where you fit in the tree.

P.P.S. We want to apologize to the Cowles. The software is still outwitting Mark. It appears that we cannot display the Cowles in tree until we have the parents of G.W. Baldwin, because their branch comes from G.W.'s sister. However, your names are listed in the reports, and Mark promises to gain a victory over the program.
