| My father’s family begins with DAVID J. BASS born abt. 1808 in NC, married MARY ELIZABETH BROWN born August 27, 1817 in NC OR TN. David died July 25, 1887 in Barton County, MO. Mary died July 14, 1907 in Barton County, MO. They had 10 children: Daniel Bass, Marion F. Bass, George Washington Bass, Isabella Bass, Thomas Jefferson Bass, William Franklin Bass, David J. Bass, Jr., Charles Edward Bass, Elizabeth Bass, and Henry Bass. WILLIAM FRANKLIN BASS born December 25, 1863 married NANCY ELIZABETH BROWN born July 2, 1868. They had 8 children. See Generation Report on David J. Bass for full details. LAMECH THORP born January 29, 1807 in Nelson County, Virginia married SARAH ANN HUGHES born abt. 1811. They had a total of I believe 6 children. MOSES BEAN THORP, my great great grandfather had a son named WILLIAM ADAM THORP born November 17, 1876 in Houston, Texas County, Missouri who married EDITH FRANCES TOLL a/k/a FANNIE EDITH TOLL born August 10, 1881in Jamesport, Davies County, Missouri.
