* Descendants of John William Lambert, Sr.*

Updated September 6, 2000

I am researching my direct lineage, via my grandmother, of John William Lambert, Sr. and Phida, both born around 1772-1774. Many descendants of this union now live in the Stanly Co. area of North Carolina; however, I am sure that many live out of state as well. I am trying to locate more information about John William Lambert and Phida, as they are the hardest to find information on. Anytime that you go back that far in time, it starts to get fuzzy. Both died prior to 1870 for your reference.

My Line comes off of John's son, John Q. Lambert and Mary. They had a son by the name of Jonathan Lambert who married Nancy. They had a son by the name of George Washington Lambert who married Emmeline Furr. Their child was Martin Luther Lambert, my great grandfather. He married his first cousin, Sophia Ann Lambert. She was the daughter of William J. Lambert and Mary A.S. Furr.

Martin and Sophia Lambert had a daughter named Fannie Beulah Emmeline Lambert, who was my grandmother. She married Charles Grier Honeycutt, son of Calvin Honeycutt and Pelenia Blackwelder.

If anyone can shed some light on John William Lambert, Sr. and Phida, I invite you to contact me. I am particularly interested in where John was from exactly, as well as Phida. I am also looking for her maiden name.
