The following story has been passed down through the years by his relatives:  Harry, his  wife & daughter, Katie (1887-1913) & Glenna (1912-1913) were washed down the Mohican River in   a flood. Osborne searched and searched but could not find their bodies.  Later he heard of an old hermit fortune teller that lived up in the hills.  Being desperate to find his children,  he went to the hermit.  The hermit told him "go down the river until you find an old yellow  buggy wheel, under the wheel you will find the 3 bodies."  He followed the old hermits instructions & found the old yellow buggy wheel.  He also found the 3 bodies under the wheel.

Obituary of Loyal Richard Kemp

Loyal Richard Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kemp was born April 18, 1933, was babtised at the Widowville Methodist Episcopal Church by Rev. H.C. Heinlein on Sunday, December 23, 1934.

Little Loyal was dearly loved in the home.  He was a happy and cheerful little fellow and this beautiful spirit he maintained until the last.  All during his illness and suffering he was patient and cheerful.

In his illness, he seemed to make gains only to fall back again continuing to grow weaker and weaker.  Everything that could possibly help in his battle was being done.  No care to burdensome or too great for the mother and father who watched over him day and night until he slipped away Thursday, March 7th at the age of 22 months and 17 days.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kemp, three brothers, Kenneth, Virgil and Frederick, two sisters, Dorothy and Betty. and a host of admirers.

The family wishes to thank the many neighbors and friends who were so kind and generous with their time, help and consoling words during the illness and death fo their dear baby.
