I am searching for the parents of MATTHEW ALCORN who moved to Bullitt County, KY. in 1823. He inheirted property in Jefferson County, Indiana from a William Alcorn and sold that property in 1823 also to a William Alcorn. I have two birthplaces listed for him. One of his children's marriages license lists Madison (Jefferson County), Indiana as his birthplace, and two others list Madison County, KY as his birthplace. He sold property in Indiana in 1823 and moved to Bullitt County and was married there the same year. He married CATHERINE TEMPLE GRAVEN and had 13 children.
I believe he is kin to the JAMES ALCHORN, who was born in Donegal County, Ireland around 1764. This age and history, fits the family "lore" of 4 brothers and one parent coming to America and scattering to the four corners.

Any help in proving this connection and or finding his parents would be appreciated.
