| Looking for all persons interested in the family names of Vrazel, Faltysek, Faltejsek, Faltesek, Faltisek, Hafernik, Hafernick, and Fritsch, located mostly in Texas and the Czech Republic. My main family line comes through Jan Josef Vrazel who brought his family to Texas in 1873 through New Orleans/Galveston. They emigrated from Novy Hrozenkov, Moravia. The Ignaz Faltejsek (later spelled Faltysek)family immigrated also in 1873 also through New Orleans/Galveston from to the best of my knowledge from Cermna, Bohemia. Ignaz and family settled in Praha, Fayette County, TX, where he lived his whole life. The Joseph H Hafernik family immigrated in 1871 through the port of Galveston. Joseph brought his family from the same village, Novy Hrozenkov as John Vrazel. Frank Fritsch came to this country in the 1850's as a child. His obituary says he came from Neustadt, Friedland, Bohemen at age 14. Frank was also a Confederate Soldier. I would be interested corresponding with anyone by e-mail or snail mail concerning these families or others with these names. |
