I am researching the DEW family who came from Maryland to Ohio about 1814. They first settled in Athens County, Ohio and then on to Perry County, Ohio. I am researching the LATTA family who came from Ireland to America before the Revolutionary War living in West Moreland County, Pennsylvania and on to Columbiana County, Ohio after the war. They later moved to Perry County, Ohio. The DORRIS family I am researching came from Pennsylvania to Ohio around 1813-14. They settled in Monroe Twp.,Perry County, Ohio around 1814. I believe the name to be Dutch. My TIVNER (Thevenin is the French spelling of the name before it was changed here in the United States) family came from France at the beginning of the French Revolution in 1790. They came with a group of people known as THE FRENCH 500. They settled the town of Gallipolis, Ohio on the Ohio River. Gallipolis is in Gallia County, Ohio. They went from there to Lawrence County, and then on to Perry County, Ohio. My FISHER family came from Pennsylvania to Muskingum County, Ohio and then to Monroe Twp., Perry County, Ohio.
The WADE and MONTGOMERY families came from England and Ireland
to Virginia in the 1600's and then to Ohio about 1865-1867.
