I am researching the Rote Barnes Family of Greenville,Tennessee in Greene County. I also find them in Hawkins County, Tennessee. I first find Silas R. Barnes in the 1850 census of Greene County, TN. at the age of 2. Silas Rote Barnes is the grandfather of my grandfather Johnnie Marshall Barnes. Johnnie M. Barnes married Martha Storey, daughter of Jackson Storey of Hawkins County, Tennessee. I am also researching the Storey family line.
