| I am researching the Newton Dekalb McDonald family from Cherokee County, North Carolina.He was born in Morgantown, TN on March 29, 1865.He married Savanah Mooreland on December 24, 1884.There were 9 children from this marriage:Dora M., Oliver William, Mabel, Emery Barnett, Oscar Dewey, Elbert N. "Boog", Arthur L, Glenn, and Wade Estes. Newton and Savannah lived in Murphy, NC and around the Cherokee County area.Newton died in 1943 at Raven's Ford, NC. I am the daughter of Wade, and know virtually nothing about this family. Other lines I am researching are the Roberts family from Buncombe County, North Carolina, and the Parker family from Jackson and Haywood Counties, North Carolina. I have information on Newton's father and grandfather and am willing to share what information I have. | |
